After watching my own flowers fail to bloom and reading reports of blighted cherry blossoms in New England, I admit I was nervous for this Boston blossom engagement session. Fortunately, my time with Yan and Adam couldn’t have been more perfect!
I met Yan and Adam at Harvard’s Arnold Arboretum for their engagement session. They were so hopeful for cherry blossoms, and they even scouted the trees for me just a few days before their session. Unfortunately, every cherry blossom disappeared over the course of those few days! As you’ll see below, however, we did not give up. The Arnold Arboretum has so many different types of flowering trees that we were able to still make Yan and Adam’s romantic and floral dreams come true! When shooting with natural elements, it is important to be flexible. So many things outside of our control impacts what the blossoms will be doing by the time a photo session happens, even when we try our best to plan ahead and schedule during peak season.
Yan and Adam’s positive spirits just prove that they are the perfect match for one another. We laughed, enjoyed finding unique spots for their session, and talked all about their wedding plans. I already felt excitement for their big day in October. But now that we connected in person and had so much fun during their session, I’m even more excited and honored to be part of their wedding day!
To Yan and Adam, I’m so excited to kick off your real life fairy tale with you. Thank you so much for choosing me! To everyone else, enjoy this glowy, Boston blossom engagement session! It’s a treat for sure!
