When Ramey reached out about photographing his Deck 12 Boston proposal, I knew this would be a moment to remember.
Deck 12, part of YOTEL Boston, offers one of the most beautiful and iconic rooftop settings in the city. With the Boston skyline, clocktower, and shimmering Seaport district all on display, it’s the kind of backdrop that elevates any proposal into something cinematic.
And this proposal? It was about more than just an epic view. It was about love, intention, and a beautiful surprise.
Before you scroll further—watch this 30-second video recap of Ramey & Nadine’s proposal! Their joy and emotion say it all:
Deck 12 offers a dedicated proposal package, and I cannot say enough good things about working with their team. They helped coordinate every detail behind the scenes—looping me in so that photography could be seamlessly built into the experience.
As a Boston proposal photographer, I always appreciate venues that prioritize creating an effortless and special moment for couples. Deck 12 did just that. You can learn more about their proposal offerings here: Deck 12 Proposal Packages.
Although both Ramey and Nadine love Boston, they no longer live here—which made this proposal all the more meaningful. Ramey planned an entire surprise trip to bring Nadine back to the city they adore, and at the heart of that trip was his proposal on Deck 12’s rooftop.
I worked with Ramey in advance to ensure everything would go off without a hitch. He wanted an incredible view as the backdrop for the moment he asked Nadine to marry him—and with Deck 12’s stunning perspective of the clocktower and Seaport skyline, his vision came to life beautifully.
The day of the proposal, the scene was set: blue skies, sparkling city views, and a perfectly prepared rooftop. I arrived early to coordinate with Deck 12’s staff and to ensure I was ready to capture every angle of the moment.
As Ramey and Nadine arrived, the atmosphere was electric. To Nadine, it was just a special rooftop moment—until she spied the “will you marry me sign” by their table and Ramey dropped to one knee with the city spread out behind them.
Nadine’s reaction was absolutely heart-melting. She was overcome with emotion, joyfully surprised, and so excited to say yes to the love of her life. Her radiant smile and happy tears told the whole story, and I was honored to capture every second.
And, everyone on the deck celebrated with them! As soon as she said yes, cheers erupted all over the patio.
After the proposal itself, we took some time to savor the moment and capture beautiful portraits outside of Yotel Boston. The light, the city backdrop, and the couple’s happiness all came together perfectly.
These images are now timeless keepsakes that Ramey and Nadine will carry with them—proof of the love and care that went into this thoughtfully planned day.
As a Boston proposal photographer, I’m always on the lookout for venues that offer both stunning visuals and a personal, meaningful experience. Deck 12 truly delivered on both fronts.
If you’re dreaming of a Boston proposal with sweeping skyline views and a stress-free, coordinated experience, Deck 12 is a fantastic choice. And I’d be honored to help capture the moment for you.
