Trees, cookies, sparkling ornaments, glowing lights, and presents all make up some of the best parts of Christmas. But a big thing, one of the things that matters the most, especially around the holidays, has to be family. The McCarthy Family definitely knows this. These grandparents flew in from halfway across the country just to spend some time with their grandchildren–how sweet is that?!

While here, the grandchildren were treated to gifts, Christmas cookies (the first cookie for the little one!), and playing with Grandpa’s camera. Even though these two little boys are young, I can tell that they will appreciate this special relationship they have with their grandparents more and more as they grow up.

I’m glad that I had some time to remember what matters most this holiday season–being with loved ones… and eating cookies ?
