Welcome to my monthly personal update!

Redlen turned 5 this month!
I know he’s still young, but 5 just feels so old to me. I can’t believe half a decade zoomed by. Some may say it’s cliche to say that time goes by quickly, but that feels all too real this month.
Redlen also got accepted to the school we hoped he’d get into, which is so exciting for us! Redlen’s been telling everyone about his new school; I love seeing his real excitement for learning burst out. It will be wild to have him away from home this fall… we’ve never done day care or in person pre-school, so this will be a monumental shift for our family.
Photography wise, I photographed a stunning coastal lighthouse proposal. It just happened, so I can’t wait to share these images soon!
I set new goals for the upcoming busy season. I’m slowly starting to shift into more client project work again, but I want to stay committed to growing my business, even if that won’t be the main focus of my office time until the holidays roll around again.

I’m currently reading The Safest Lies by Megan Miranda. It’s a YA thriller that focuses on Kelsey, the isolated daughter of a woman, Mandy, that was kidnapped as a teenager.
I’m telling you, this one is scary! Just last night I felt my heart pounding right before bedtime, which was not the best for trying to fall asleep. If you like YA and thrillers, this may be a good fit. I still need to finish before I give a seal of approval, but so far things are engaging.
I’m also about to read Everyone In This Bank is a Suspect by Benjamin Stevenson. It’s the third installment of the Edward Cunningham mystery novels. If you haven’t read these yet and you’re a mystery fan, you’re seriously missing out. They’re a bit meta and sarcastic, which only adds to the fun. The mysteries are solid and hard to track. I can’t wait to read this one!

The Traitors is still my laundry show. Each season gets crazier and crazier!
I also recently discovered that there are a few new seasons of Call the Midwife on Netflix that I just… missed. I love this show so much, and I’m so excited to be invested in the Poplar stories once again.
Dillon always call this “sad show,” which is fair because I do cry almost every episode. But they’re so good that I can’t stop watching them.

My favorite part of the entire update! If you don’t already get excited about the highlights of the upcoming month, I can’t recommend it enough!
–Good Friday and Easter services at our church. This is such a poignant part of the year spiritually, and I’m looking forward to the intentional celebration of salvation and hope for the future.
-Another beautiful proposal. I don’t want to give away too many details just in case!
-Floral filled engagement photos in Boston Public Garden. This engagement session is for one of 2027 couples, and I’m so excited to meet them in person for the first time!
–Breakthrough!!!! If you’ve been around for a while, you might already know that this is the marriage conference we attend with our marriage coach, Julia Woods. This is our second year on the leadership team, and I’m so excited to be with our group again. There’s still one spot left, so if you want to join us, please do!
Until next time,
Christine
