Peak Season and New Beginnings

It’s pumpkin spice season!! The weather is perfect, it’s the best time of the year, and I’m so excited to check in with you!

What I’ve Been Up To:

August is my busiest month so far, so I’ve been busy driving all over Massachusetts. I love being part of so many love stories in different forms.

I had two proposals, three maternity sessions, and 5 weddings this month. Whether it’s dreaming about a new wedding to plan, beginning marriage, or excitedly awaiting a new little one, each time I took out my camera this month was for an incredible moment.

I also had the chance to attend the baby shower for one of my past brides! It’s the best bonus of this job–becoming friends with my clients!

I’ve also been taking my kids to the library and spending lots of time playing in our back yard. With things being fast paced right now, I’m trying to allow myself to rest at home as much as possible. Plus, I have lots to get done behind the scenes for my business. When I’m shooting a lot, I have less office time, so I need to cozy up with my laptop whenever possible.

September is still pretty busy, but I do have some down time scheduled as well, which I’m so excited for!

What I’ve Been Reading:

I’m currently reading We’ll Always Have Summer by Jenny Han, which is the last installment in the The Summer I Turned Pretty trilogy.

This series is okay. I don’t hate it, but I definitely am not obsessed with it. I think if I read this as a teenager I would’ve been obsessed, but as an adult it feels a tad immature.

Dillon and I did start watching the Amazon series, which is interesting.

What I’ve Been Watching:

In addition to The Summer I Turned Pretty, we’ve been keeping up with Big Brother 26.

Let me tell you that this is the most engaging season I can remember watching real time. I’ve been loving all of the Tucker shenanigans, even when he’s making pretty dumb moves. The fearlessness is engaging and endearing. And the amount of times my jaw drops to the floor is insane.

I’m hoping they can keep this momentum going throughout the season, but also in the next season. While I love the live feed strategic gameplay, the show has been frustrating for years. Being super excited for every episode is new, and I love it!

And Angela?! What a TV gift. She is perfection. The crying. The charcuterie. The inviting herself into alliances. It’s all a yes.

If this makes no sense to you…I’m sorry. You should catch up!

What I’m Excited About:

Lots more to celebrate this coming month, so my list will be long!

-A wedding at the Saphire Estate in Sharon, MA

-A getaway retreat with our church (Westgate Church) at Sandy Island. We all head to a little island in the middle of Lake Winnipesaukee. It’s beautiful, crazy, and definitely a highlight of the year!

-A Wequassett Resort and Golf Club wedding

-A Harvard Art Museum wedding

-A Pembroke Pines Country Club wedding

-My second Grand View of Mendon wedding of the season

-A Boston engagement session

-Some down time at the end of the month with Dillon and our kids. We’ll most likely be lazy around the house, and we’ll also probably head to Rota Springs, which is our favorite

-A Plum Island senior session

It will be jam packed, but I’m excited!

Until next time,

Christine
