Rexhame Beach engagement session Marshfield, MA

Ashley and JJ’s Rexhame Beach engagement session was definitely one for the books! And I can say that I’m super grateful that these two are some of the kindest, most down to earth people. I may or may not have let me get them soaking wet in the rain…oops!

As anyone in New England knows, lately it will not stop raining out. While this is great for the environment, it can make getting your portraits done quite the challenge. After stalking the weather app all day, it seemed like we were in a decent spot. Plus, Ashley had her hair and make up appointment already scheduled, so we didn’t want to have to move around multiple commitments. But when I showed up to the beach and checked my weather app again, I saw that we had just under 30 minutes before a major storm rolled through.

Fortunately, I know that I can work well under pressure. (Thank you for all of the time to practice working while stressed, teaching degree!) By utilizing my posing system, I was able to jump right in with Ashley and JJ to start cranking out gorgeous pictures that they can treasure for a lifetime–even with a hard deadline for the end of the session. Thunder boomed all around us, and we stayed out until the rain started pouring. Ashley and JJ had two outfits for their engagement session, which ended up coming in handy to keep them dry for their ride home!

These two are such sweethearts. Not everyone would be able to dive right into a session. And not everyone would be so gracious about their photographer keeping them out in crazy weather and literally getting drenched from head to toe.

Ashley and JJ actually went to the same high school, but their story didn’t start until after. I’m so excited to see their real life fairy tale playing out, and I absolutely cannot wait to celebrate with them down at the Cape this fall! Woo hoo!
