One of the things I love most about photographing a Wychmere Beach Club wedding is that no two celebrations ever feel the same.
Even with the same breathtaking waterfront views, every couple finds their own way to make the day feel personal.
And for Katherine and Brandon, that meant creating an unforgettable experience for the people they love while also making space to slow down together.
Their Harbor Room wedding was filled with thoughtful details, incredible food, and guests who were ready to celebrate from the moment they arrived. Cocktail hour featured fresh oysters, signature drinks, and sweeping views of Wychmere Harbor, but one of my favorite moments came when the two of them stepped away for a quiet boat ride.
For a few minutes, the timeline paused.
There were no introductions to make, no speeches to hear, and no expectations waiting for them. Just the two of them, surrounded by the harbor, taking in the fact that they had finally become husband and wife.
It’s one of my favorite reminders that even on a wedding day filled with people, making time for each other is always worth it.
So, if you’re dreaming of a Wychmere Beach Club wedding, I hope Katherine and Brandon’s celebration gives you plenty of inspiration as you plan your own.
For for even more Wychmere Beach Club wedding inspiration, you can also explore Taylor and Griffin’s late spring celebration in the Ocean Room, where thoughtful details and timeless Cape Cod style came together beautifully.
One of the reasons I enjoy photographing a Wychmere Beach Club wedding is how easily the day flows from one moment to the next. So, couples don’t spend large portions of their wedding moving between locations, which means more time celebrating with the people they invited.
Katherine and Brandon exchanged vows overlooking the water before welcoming guests into the Harbor Room for their reception. Portrait locations, cocktail hour, and the harbor were all just a short walk away, making it easy to step out for a few photographs without missing the celebration.
When couples ask how to balance beautiful portraits with time spent with family and friends, Wychmere makes that balance feel much easier.
One of my favorite moments from Katherine and Brandon’s wedding happened away from cocktail hour for just a few minutes.
They climbed aboard a small boat and slipped out onto Wychmere Harbor together.
Wedding days move quickly. Between getting ready, the ceremony, family portraits, dinner, and dancing, it’s easy to realize you’ve barely had a quiet conversation with your new spouse. That boat ride gave them exactly that.
They laughed, took in the harbor views, and enjoyed the first few moments of married life without anyone asking for their attention. And when they returned, they were relaxed, smiling, and ready to celebrate with everyone waiting back at the reception.
It’s a simple reminder that sometimes the most meaningful part of the day isn’t another event on the timeline. It’s creating space to simply be together.
One of the things couples love about hosting a Wychmere Beach Club wedding is that guests experience more than just a beautiful venue. They experience Cape Cod.
From fresh oysters during cocktail hour to waterfront views throughout the evening, Katherine and Brandon embraced everything that makes this part of Massachusetts such a memorable place to celebrate.
As the evening continued, guests filled the dance floor while the harbor provided a peaceful backdrop just outside. Even with gray skies earlier in the day, Wychmere still delivered the timeless coastal atmosphere so many couples picture when planning a Cape Cod wedding.
That’s one of the reasons I enjoy returning here year after year. Every couple brings a different story, but Wychmere always provides a setting that lets those stories take center stage.
Choosing Wychmere Beach Club for your wedding means choosing a venue that embodies romance, beauty, and elegance. The stunning views, versatile spaces, delicious cuisine, luxurious accommodations, and supportive staff all come together to create a day that you and your guests will remember forever.
To Katherine and Brandon, thank you so much for choosing me to capture your wedding memories. Being there and supporting you is such a special experience, and not one I take for granted. I’m wishing you both the best and cheering for you!

Wychmere Beach Club is located in Harwich Port, Massachusetts, on Cape Cod. With views of Nantucket Sound, private beach access, and elegant waterfront reception spaces, it’s one of the most sought-after wedding venues on the Cape.
Yes! One of the things I love most about photographing weddings at Wychmere Beach Club is the variety of portrait locations. Couples can take photos on the private beach, along Wychmere Harbor, on the docks, and throughout the beautifully landscaped property without traveling far from their guests.
The Harbor Room is one of Wychmere Beach Club’s waterfront reception spaces. It features large windows overlooking Wychmere Harbor. A spacious dance floor and easy access to outdoor patios allow guests to enjoy fresh ocean air and beautiful Cape Cod views throughout the evening.
If your timeline allows for it, absolutely. Katherine and Brandon’s private boat ride gave them a chance to step away from the excitement of the reception for a few quiet moments together. It also created some of my favorite portraits from the day. Not every couple chooses this experience. But it’s a memorable way to enjoy Wychmere Harbor and celebrate the start of your marriage.
Cape Cod weather can be unpredictable, but Wychmere Beach Club is beautiful in every kind of light. Katherine and Brandon’s wedding took place beneath soft gray skies, creating timeless portraits with even, flattering light. The venue’s indoor spaces and waterfront views still made the day feel unmistakably Cape Cod.
Every wedding here feels a little different because each couple brings their own story to the day. I love how easy it is to move between everything without taking couples away from their guests for long. Whether the day is sunny or overcast, Wychmere offers beautiful backdrops. That way, the people and the moments remain the focus.
