Jessica and Holden’s Cape Club of Sharon wedding reception will always hold a special place in my heart. I can’t wait to share the whole story with you!
These two met through work when they both started at the same place. They’ve been together ever since!
Holden had the best plan to surprise Jessica during a trip to Florida. Call it luck or fate, but they had an amazing sunset as the backdrop for their proposal. This luck only continued for their engagement session, which was another jaw dropper of a sunset.
Their engagement session was the first one where I came home and felt like my feet weren’t touching the floor. It was so beautiful, but even more so, these two are so kind, calm, and perfectly suited for one another that they truly embody a real life fairy tale.
Jessica and Holden were planning a wedding, but their work assignments changed, so, unflappable as ever, they decided to create new plans. They eloped in December of 2022 with a few of their closest friends.
I was still recovering from my c section after having my daughter Esmie, so we missed each other for that big moment. You’ll have to imagine the joy that sparked when I learned that they wanted to plan a Cape Club of Sharon wedding reception so that they could fully celebrate with their family and friends. Truly, I was so excited!!
Like I mentioned before, these two are so kind and calm. They’re the type of people that, after spending time with them, the world seems a little brighter and more peaceful.
Being able to see them a few years after their engagement session and noticing that they still have the closest bond and the fiercest love reminded me all over again why I love what I do.
These two clearly will achieve big things through their love story. They choose each other, personify partnership, and have tons of fun! I can only imagine the legacy that will impact their family and friends down the line. To be able to capture a love like that and create reminders that their loved ones will look back on for generations is indescribably powerful.
I loved visiting the Cape Club of Sharon for the first time!
Many country clubs limit which spots you can use for photography. I completely understand this! Country clubs have different sets of clientele, and they need to ensure everyone’s safety.
But one amazing perk of a Cape Club of Sharon wedding is that they have a ton of options for photography spots! You definitely won’t feel limited at all.
The venue staff were so accommodating and helpful as they showed me all of the different options. They zipped us around in golf carts, which helped portraits move along quickly.
During the family formal time, rain started down pouring. Normally you’d have to settle for indoor portraits, but there was actually a beautiful covered porch. The ceilings and walls are even white!! If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that this is always my dream 😂
We were still able to take gorgeous photos that had a natural backdrop even in the pouring rain. I couldn’t have been happier with this workaround!
To Jessica and Holden, thank you for choosing me to capture your engagement memories, and thank you even more for coming back and asking me to document your wedding reception. I adore both of you, I’m cheering for your marriage, and I wish I could clone you and photograph the two of you all the time. You’re amazing!
To everyone else, enjoy this gorgeous Cape Club of Sharon wedding reception! It’s a treat!
