Boston Seaport Engagement | Courtney & Schuyler

Boston Seaport engagement session

This Boston Seaport engagement session has to be my luckiest one of the entire year! You guys, it’s November, and we had a 65 degree day for our time together. We were actually supposed to meet on a different day. But, when we saw the weather report we knew that we had to change our plans. And I’m so glad that we did!

I met this gorgeous couple, Courtney and Schuyler, and their adorable fur baby Aura, through a giveaway that I hosted with one of my favorite brands, Capeology. I feel so incredibly lucky that they won!

A giveaway isn’t the normal way I meet most of my couples, but I know that Courtney and Schuyler are just like my normals CHP couples!

These two actually got engaged in Boston, on Castle Island. They also used to live in Southie. So, we knew that Boston just made perfect sense for documenting this next step in their love story.

As Beantowners, I didn’t really have to convince Courtney and Schuyler that a Boston Seaport engagement would be perfect.

Why take engagement photos in Boston’s Seaport District?

The short answer? A Boston Seaport engagement session always looks perfect!

I’m sure you’re thinking, “always, Christine? Seriously?” But truly, my answer is yes. Always!

Thanks to the constant blue tones from the Boston Harbor and the gorgeous architecture of The Boston Harbor Hotel and it’s surrounding buildings in the same style, the Seaport has an enduring, consistent look that beautiful transitions between all seasons and weather scenarios.

I’ve done several Boston Seaport engagement and wedding sessions now. So, I’ve had the chance to shoot under many conditions! Blistering hot in the summer, right after a severe thunderstorm, frigid gales in the spring, and even mild fall days… the Seaport still stuns! There may be greenery, fall foliage, or nothing growing at all, but the quality of the light is perfect thanks to the blues bouncing off the Harbor.

Plus, Boston Harbor is as quintessential Boston as you can get (thank you, Boston Tea Party!) If you’re wanting something that feels coastal like so much of my work while still strongly embracing Boston, you can’t go wrong with a Boston Seaport engagement session!

As we walked around, I got to learn more about Courtney and Schuyler. Courtney’s mom joined us to help out with Aura, so it was so nice to meet their family!

I got to hear about some potential wedding venues, learn all about their boat, and observe that these two are the perfect couple!

To Courtney and Schuyler, I’m so excited for the two of you as you plan your big day! I know that it will be absolutely beautiful, just like the commitment you’re making to each other. I can’t wait to see all of your plans come together!

To everyone else, enjoy this amazing Boston Seaport engagement session! It will make you want to head over to the Harborwalk immediately!
