Hammond Castle Engagement

Hammond Castle engagement pictures collage

Let’s just say that if you dreamed of having medieval vibes for your engagement session, it’s completely possible at Hammond Castle.

Tiffany and Michael, the adorable couple for this session, traveled all the way from NYC to Gloucester, MA to have the perfect look for their engagement session. They knew they wanted to feel like they were in Europe for their engagement pictures, and standing inside of Hammond Castle, it’s so easy to forget that you’re in New England!

I loved getting to know Tiffany and Michael. They met while they were both in college through work, and they’ve been together ever since!

Tiffany, like most brides, fell in love with a particular wedding dress even before Michael proposed. I did the same thing, so I love this!

Michael knows about this fateful dress, so he had Tiffany’s engagement ring custom made so that it could match!

For those that are curious–Tiffany still needs to actually try the dress on, but it’s still a contender for their wedding day. I for one cannot wait to see what she decides. But no matter what she chooses, I know that she will be the most beautiful bride.

Even more importantly, it’s clear that Tiffany and Michael are in the midst of creating a beautiful, powerful, and loving marriage together. As we walked through the famous Hammond Castle courtyard and the grounds outside, it’s clear that these two are deeply committed to each other.

I loved getting to know their story, what they do for work, and simply observing how they care about each other. Their partnership and kindness inspires me, and I hope that they always hold on to this part of their relationship.

Taking Pictures at Hammond Castle

If you’re also hoping for a Hammond Castle engagement session, there are a few things to know beforehand.

For professional photography, you do need to schedule a session in advance with the museum. At the time I’m writing, “the rental fee is $350 per hour between 4 and 5 pm, and $450 per hour after 5 pm.” according to their website. Of course, please be sure to double check these numbers, as pricing could change at any time.

Photo session also need to be scheduled at least a month in advance. To schedule a session, you can either click here to access their online form, or call them at (978) 283-2080.

Hammond Castle is one of the most accommodating places I’ve been with a couple that needed a permit for their engagement session. The coordinator, Deb, was personable and so accommodating. She showed us the popular photo spots, and she couldn’t help but compliment Tiffany and Michael as she walked the grounds with us.

Deb has great attention to detail as she promptly removed signs and other distracting elements out of the background of images for us.

While you do need to plan in advance, Hammond Castle is the easiest venue to work with. So if you’re also hoping for medieval inspired engagement pictures, this is the place! I would love to work with you, so please click here to inquire about a session.

And finally

To Tiffany and Michael, thank you so much for trusting me with your engagement memories. It’s an honor to work with you and help tell your story.

I’m wishing you both all the best, and I’ll be cheering for you both!

To everyone else, thank you so much for taking a peek at this gorgeous session. You’ll be planning to visit the castle by the end!
