Did you know that where you get married has almost as big of an impact on your photos as your photographer? That might sound crazy, but it’s the exact reason that choosing the right Cape Cod wedding venue truly matters!
Your wedding photographer will of course have their own signature style, but there is no denying the power of surroundings for the final look of images. If you love light, bright and colorful photos like I do, then you won’t want to choose a wedding venue that has lots of dark, antique wood. Those colors and tones will add a heavier feel than you may enjoy.
There are so, so many Cape Cod wedding venues that choosing the right one for your day can feel overwhelming. But I’ve compiled a list of some of the best Cape Cod wedding venues to give you a solid starting point.
You’ll notice that something all of these venues have in common is lighter decor, clean, classic lines, and bright white indoor locations. To get that airy feel in your wedding photography, that’s what you need in the backdrop!
Located on the Lower Cape in Harwichport, Wychmere embodies coastal elegance. There are several different event spaces that provide unique yet luxurious options for your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.
There is also immediate access to the beach, so you’ll be able to quickly head out for sunset portraits and get the cotton candy colors you’re hoping for without leaving your reception for too long.
Wychmere also has plenty of accommodations for your guests, so it’s the perfect place to host a wedding weekend. Everyone can be together soaking in your love story and the beauty of Cape Cod
Wequassett has a little bit of everything for the ultimate Cape Cod wedding venue. You’ll have access to a lush lawn, the ocean, terraces, piers…what else could you need?
Similarly to Wychmere, there is plenty of space to host all of your guests, so everyone will be able to celebrate long into the night.
This place will forever have my heart. There’s just something about that grand set of steps leading up to the heart of the resort that feels so elegant. And if you can make the drive there during hydrangea season without drooling…you are a stronger woman than me, friend.
Even with the beauty and bliss that is Cape Cod, it’s easy to feel like you’ve been transported to another dimension once you enter Chatham Bars Inn. With their seagrass lined sandy paths, private beaches, and lawns where you can construct a tented extrvaganza, you can make all of your dreams come true here.
Have I mentioned that they also have killer lobster rolls? You and your guests will definitely experience timeless luxury here.
Located in Mashpee, this Cape Cod wedding venue is a hidden gem. While Willowbend isn’t immediately on the water, you’re still close enough that you can head to the beach for portraits if you would like.
Willowbend definitely has the gorgeous, clean, bright architecture that will make your photos shine, but if you love pops of color, their famous red barn on their pristine golf course will fit the bill.
If you’re hoping for a tented wedding, The Dennis Inn is the Cape Cod wedding venue for you! Nestled on a quiet street just a few seconds down from the beach, the Dennis Inn is a charming spot that provides all of the quintessential Cape Cod looks.
Between the light blue accents and the weathered clapboard siding, your wedding gallery could not look more elegant and coastal.
Right on Falmouth’s Old Silver Beach, you’ll find Sea Crest. Old Silver really does steal the show, and I can say that even in stormy weather the beach scenes here are pretty hard to beat.
With a clean ballroom that makes the perfect backdrop for your images to the best beach for epic sunsets, Sea Crest is a fantastic choice.
New Seabury is a newly minted, modern, coastal, and picture perfect beach neighborhood. So it’s no surprise that their gorgeous country club is just the same.
With a rolling golf course topped with sea views as a backdrop and a crisp ballroom, you won’t be disappointed with this Cape Cod wedding venue.
New Seabury is the ideal venue for those looking to effortlessly blend modern and coastal.
With gorgeous patio views, an expansive lawn, and a massive beachfront, Pelham House has everything you need!
Pelham House only holds one wedding at a time, so you will literally have the place to yourself. Having your own slice of Cape Cod, even for an evening, is the dream. At least for me, haha!
Perhaps the most exclusive venue on this list, but it’s too beautiful to leave it off. In order to have your wedding at the Wianno Club, you either need to be a member, or be sponsored by a member.
The Wianno Club has an intimate, edge of the world type of feel to it as you gaze down the cliffs to the ocean. Since you feel so removed from everyone else, it’s an exquisite Cape Cod wedding venue. I love the expansive windows that line the ballroom so that you can enjoy every shade of the sunset without ever leaving the party.
While you’re searching for your perfect venue, I’d love to chat with you more about your plans for your wedding day. I can’t wait to create magic with you that you’re going to cherish and pass down to your kids and grandkids.
